Training

The Company

The Salvation Army UK Territorial Wellbeing Unit

The Challenge

To train members for a national team that would be responding to a variety of traumatic events. They would need the skills and knowledge to support individuals and groups who had very recently been involved in a potentially traumatic event. This response could be immediately or a few days after the event.

The Solution

A 4 day accredited training course was delivered to the team members. This incorporated a portfolio of crisis support interventions to ensure that the right support could be given to the right person at the right time. The course was delivered on a number of occasions, ensuring that the team had sufficient numbers of trained individuals. At the end of the course, delegates had access to a comprehensive and effective skill set enabling them to provide support in the crucial hours and days following the incident.

The Result

“The training for our post trauma carers was of a very high standard, well-structured and clearly worked towards specific learning outcomes. The trainers were obviously very knowledgeable in the trauma field of work and tailored the training to the kinds of scenarios we would deal with in our organisation.  Comments from those on the course were that the course was ‘informative and interesting’ ‘full of useful knowledge’ and ‘the trainers had a good manner that made learning easy’.

I would certainly have no hesitation in not only using KRTS again but also in recommending them to others.”
